Mr. Shabuz Mahmud is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business
Administration, R. P. Shaha University, where he has been serving since August 2022. Prior to
this role, he was affiliated with World University of Bangladesh, where he progressed through
various academic positions—Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Assistant Professor—since joining
in July 2011. Mr. Mahmud holds BBA and MBA degrees in Accounting & Information Systems
from the University of Rajshahi. While his primary expertise lies in accounting, he also
occasionally teaches general business courses. His academic journey extends beyond teaching, as
he is actively engaged in research and co-curricular activities. He has several publications in
national and international high-quality indexed/peer-reviewed journals, covering diverse topics
within accounting and finance. His research interests include green accounting, computerized
accounting systems, corporate governance, financial disclosure in audits, financial performance
analysis, angel finance, and venture capitalist finance. A continuous learner, Mr. Mahmud is
passionate about exploring new concepts and ideas. He has participated in numerous seminars,
symposiums, and workshops on research methodology, quality education, accounting, and
business-related issues, for further strengthening his expertise and contributions to the academic
community.
