Rafiqul Islam, presently serving as a lecturer in the Department of English at R. P. Shaha University, Narayanganj-1400, pursued his BA (Honours) in English Language and Literature and subsequently completed his MA in English Literature and Cultural Studies at Gopalganj Science and Technology University, Gopalganj-8100. He emerged as the highest- ranking student in both programmes, not only within the department but across the entire Faculty of Humanities. Marked by an ardent proclivity for co-curricular engagement, he has amassed substantial experience in pivotal leadership roles, having served as both General Secretary and President of the i+1 English Speakers’ Club at GSTU. His professional repertoire is distinguished by exemplary organisational acumen, articulate communication, an authoritative and persuasive mode of presentation, incisive analytical faculties, and formidable capabilities in both administration and leadership. His scholarly predilections encompass the intellectual terrains of postcolonial theory, psychoanalytic criticism, gender discourse, and cultural hermeneutics. He is fundamentally dedicated to teaching English language and literature, combining theoretical rigour with pedagogical finesse.
